A Joyful Celebration of Resurrection: Easter at St. Mary’s SMC Graz

The Easter celebration at St. Mary’s Syro Malabar Community Graz was held with great devotion and joy on 6 April, bringing together parish members for a spiritually enriching and festive occasion.

The Holy Qurbana was the central highlight of the celebration. The solemn liturgy was led by the main celebrant, Vicar Fr. Joel Koyikkara, along with co-celebrants Fr. Nicholas Thenamakkal, Fr. Ajayan Joseph, Fr. Tino Joseph, and Fr. Mathew Ponnambel.

During the Holy Qurbana, Fr. Ajayan Joseph delivered a meaningful and reflective message focusing on the significance of Easter and the importance of the three-day celebration (Holy Triduum). His homily encouraged the faithful to deepen their spiritual understanding and live the message of Christ’s resurrection in their daily lives.

Following the Holy Mass, the community gathered at the parish hall to continue the celebration in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Members shared a variety of food items brought by families, symbolizing unity and fellowship. The gathering provided an opportunity for everyone to meet, greet, and celebrate together as one community, strengthening bonds and spreading Easter joy.

The event was a beautiful expression of faith, togetherness, and the living spirit of Easter within the community.
